Secure Boot disabled?

After reinstalling with WINPE I checked the BIOS and found Secure Boot disabled. I Enabled it but the computer would not boot after restart from the BIOS. Went back into BIOS and disabled it. then after a long black screen it finally started back up. Now I have long black screens on startup. Anyone know what the problem is?

  • I did some experimenting, found BIOS set to Custom rather than Standard mode under Secure Boot. Then I had to clean up the HD using the following Commands in Terminal as Administrator:

    * dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth

    * dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

    * dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup

    * sfc /scannow

    chkdsk C: /f /r

    Caution: sfc /scannow took me ten hours to run, then it could not fix drive. You must run chkdsk to finish. Now running fine. Solved.
